Quick overview of today's topics. I'm going to be doing a deep delve into our most recent PowerPoint Interaction assignments and the touching up on some technology-related topics. 

Assignment 5: PowerPoint Interaction


Pictured above is the home page of my most recent PowerPoint project. When instructed to create an interactive assignment or game I immediately knew that I could combine my most loved past time and my most hated past time. Math and board games. Within working on this assignment, I learned how to stop linear movement within a PowerPoint as well as learned how to link pages to one another. In doing so I was able to create this fun, interactive Algebra One board game. 

Classmate Blogs

I was shocked at how amazing some of my classmate's blogs were. Everyone had so much information and interesting themes, so it was a prideful feeling when viewing them. There were definitely some new tools and things I picked up when looking at my classmate's blogs that I'll be implementing my future work. 

Google Classroom

I recently had to use Google Classroom for another project for a different course. I know that many high school's use Google Classroom over other programs like Schoology, but I have never gotten that opportunity. I was able to get by for that one project, but I definitely want to explore the ins and outs of Google Classroom more on my own time.

Bonjour! I hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend just as much as I am. Today I'm going to talk about school websites, personal technology use, PB Works, and Twitter.  School Websites If you click on the above photograph you can see the link to the website.  School websites are a great tool to connect with teachers as students or parents. Here we can see information regarding school events like bookfairs, sports events, etc. We can also navigate through teacher information about class activities and a tentative course schedule. As a student or parent more information may be available via login information, but this can be helpful to those who do not have this information.  Future Classroom Technology Use I would love to someday be given the opportunity to create my own class website. Hi all! I'm Grace Shaw, and I'm currently an English Education Major at Florida State University. I've always had a passion for teaching, although as a kid with two younger sisters it was usually teaching them how to do the dishes for me. But in all seriousness, I dream of a day where I can have my very own classroom where I can teach all the new beautiful faces coming through high school every year. One of the things that first sparked my passion for teaching was when I first watched Dead Poets Society as a kid. I know a bit heavy for a 10-year-old.  Good afternoon bloggers! Talking today about classroom experiences, open educational resources (OER) and PowerPoints, let's get into it! Classroom Experiences   My experience in EME2040 has been so helpful and necessary to my educational track of becoming a teacher. I considered myself well versed in technology until I took this class. There are so many tools that I learned about while taking this course that I didn't know existed. I can totally see myself using almost all of these tools in my future classroom.  Open Educational Resources Open Educational Resources or OER, are helpful tools used to expand our learning community. Radio shows, TV shows, and mail are great ways that learning materials can be spread that we don't often consider given the technological standpoint in education now.
