Hi again! So today we're going to talk about using some Microsoft software's in education. Because of my age I was on the cusp of still using Microsoft software's in grade school. When I got to 7th grade, my class became the "test run" class per say of students that got to use our own personal school laptops. We started to use Google Chromebooks. In my previous experience, like I said earlier, had always been using Microsoft but because we were now using Google products, we started using Docs, Slides, Sheets, etc. Then when I got to college, I got a personal laptop which was a Microsoft laptop. I like both but prefer Microsoft just because I'm more familiar with it. It's all about personal preference.  The second thing I wanted to touch on today was the ISTE Standards for Educators. There are multiple standards that a lot of educators relate too. These standards are all about using technology to help us future or teachers best educate students. I personall

Hi all! I'm Grace Shaw, and I'm currently an English Education Major at Florida State University. I've always had a passion for teaching, although as a kid with two younger sisters it was usually teaching them how to do the dishes for me. But in all seriousness, I dream of a day where I can have my very own classroom where I can teach all the new beautiful faces coming through high school every year. One of the things that first sparked my passion for teaching was when I first watched Dead Poets Society as a kid. I know a bit heavy for a 10-year-old. And I know that movie wasn't necessarily about teaching and rather was about what was being taught and how the kids were learning but the idea of being able to have an impact on others in that way is fascinating to me. Anyways, about me. I am 19 years old, living currently in Florida to finish my bachelor's degree. I plan to move much closer to my hometown of Canandaigua, NY to finish schooling and attain my master'
